Innovation empowers, entrepreneurship pursues dreams. The final of the Innovation Nanshan 2023 "Startup Star" competition will be held on October 26. As a large-scale demonstration activity of mass entrepreneurship and innovation based in Nanshan, facing the whole country and radiating the world, and the "Martial arts event" in the science and technology industry, since its inception in 2008, more than 20,000 projects have registered for the competition, and a number of unicorn enterprises and listed companies have been cultivated.

This year's Innovation Nanshan 2023 "Entrepreneurial Star" competition is divided into industry competition, out-of-city competition, reward challenge and international competition. A total of 1531 projects were successfully registered, and finally 25 projects successfully broke through and qualified for the finals, including 10 enterprise groups and 15 team groups.

Biomedicine Industry Track: Zhenghong Nova Medical Technology (Team project)

Nova Medical Technology team is mainly engaged in the research and development of upstream medical raw materials and core processes. Since 2014, it has been committed to solving the key technical difficulties of medical coating safety and mass production by developing new polymerization methods and coating equipment. Its self-developed surface modification technology is a process for polymerization on the surface of the ultra-micro chamber. The unique uniform and firm grafting coating on the inner and outer walls of the ultra-micro chamber is based on zwitterion coating technology, which has the characteristics of high technical barriers and wide application range.

The team's technology platform has four main characteristics: first, it is able to achieve a uniform coating of the interior and exterior walls of the ultrafine chamber; Secondly, it can realize the covalent bond between the interior and exterior walls of the ultramicrocavity. Third, it can achieve large-scale production, up to tens of thousands of pieces per batch; Finally, novel molecular brush coating structures can be achieved without affecting the gas and liquid transmittance of the substrate.

The team consists of researchers from the National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University, as well as industry engineers, and currently has a total of seven R&D team members, all with overseas doctoral and postdoctoral research experience. Among them, Professor Guillermo Bazan is the team's Chief Scientific Officer (CSO), has won the Arthur Copp Scholar Award, is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, has been selected by Thomson Reuters as one of the "Top 50 most cited scientists in the world", He has published 670 papers in top journals such as Science, Nature Chemistry, and Nature Review.
